Design-Build

The design-build construction delivery method replaces the traditional method of awarding separate contracts for design and construction. The contractor, designers, subcontractors, and owner work together as one team to build a project that meets or exceeds the owner's expectations. Team members focus on communication, collaboration, and solving problems together rather than placing blame.

Single Point of Responsibility

The owner manages only one contract, the designer and contractor work together from the beginning, avoiding cost overruns and delays, as would typically arise under the traditional design-bid-build method.

Improved Project Quality

As a team the designer and contractor provide unified project recommendations to fit the owner's schedule and budget, this, in turn, allows the owner to focus on general decision making for the overall project.

Accelerated Schedule

With the Architect, Engineer, and Contractor involved from the start of the design process, components of the project, such as site preparation and groundwork can take place while more detailed designs are completed.

Cost & Time Saving

The team can provide cost savings through the prudent use of materials and cost-efficient construction processes. Time is also saved because the project is more efficient and construction can actually begin before the final designs are completed, owners can occupy their facilities sooner.
